What are Qigong and Taiji?

Both Taiji and Qigong are considered “internal exercises.”  It means that they not only help the physical body, but also the mind and spirit.

Qigong powerfully exercises the body’s Qi, or life force through simple, yet elegant postures, movements, breathing techniques, and focused intent.  The practice of Qigong allows the practitioner to heal the body, focus the mind, and calm the spirit. With no complicated or strenuous movements to learn, anyone can benefit from Qigong, regardless of flexibility, age, or fitness level.

Taiji is known for slow and steady movements, that unite the breath, body, and mind.  It is a beautiful and intricate martial art.  Every exquisite movement of this ancient and battle tested art has practical applications for self defense.  The practitioner will enjoy the mental calm and clarity that comes with the learning the movements, as well as the confidence that comes from knowing the commanding self defense applications.  Only the most authentic Taiji styles are taught here.
